In our experience, homeschool students are often some of the most engaged, talented, and hard working pre-college pianists. If you teach your children at home, or if they are involved in a homeschool co-op, I’d love to talk about Philadelphia piano lessons either in your home or in our studio.

Piano Lessons for Homeschoolers at Your Home or Co-Op

Homeschool families often include multiple children, and if that’s the case, it can be a hassle to pile into the car for piano lessons in the middle of the school day.

I’ve enjoyed traveling to families' homes and teaching piano lessons there; the only requirement is that you have a full-size (88 keys) digital piano or acoustic piano.

I can also travel to your homeschool Co-Op to offer piano lessons to all of the students there. This approach may save hours of your time each month, and it may be a better learning environment for your children.

Piano Lessons at my Studio

Of course, I’d love to teach your homeschool students at my studio in Center City, Philadelphia. Amenities include:

  • Free, off-street parking

  • I teach on a Steinway 5’ 7" grand piano

  • You’re welcome to help yourself to my wi-fi and espresso while you wait!

  • Easy access to Rittenhouse, Fitler Square, and many shops, restaurants, and coffee

Lessons Tailored to Your Homeschool Music Curriculum

If you already include music appreciation, music history, music theory, or instrument/vocal studies in you curriculum, piano lessons might be the perfect fit. I’m more than happy to align my repertoire choices and pedagogy with your lesson planning.

I typically incorporate both classical and popular music into my lessons, and I mix in music theory as well. My goal is to see students grow into musicians, not simply pianists.

Neighborhoods I Offer Lessons In

While we’ll have to discuss the details once I know your location, I’m generally willing to travel to West Philly/University City, Northeast Philly, South Philly, and anywhere in Center City.

Neighborhoods include: Northern Liberties, Fishtown, Spring Garden, Rittenhouse, Queen Village, Bella Vista / Hawthorne, Society Hill, Old City, South Philly and more.

As long as I can access your home in a reasonable amount of time by car (and parking isn’t too difficult), I will consider making the trip.
